Computing

In an ever changing world of technology, we aim to help our children to become knowledgeable about the nature of information, gain confidence with the range of technology available and have the ability to exploit its potential.

At The Russell School, ICT is embedded throughout the curriculum and is used to support every aspect of teaching. In addition to this, the computing curriculum is taught discretely, providing children with the essential skills they will need in the future, such as the ability to create code and write a simple computer programme.

We also teach children to be safe and responsible when using the internet and other forms of electronic communication.

We aim to deliver these programmes of study in a fun and engaging way through our Imaginative Learning Projects, using methods that foster an enthusiasm and interest in technology and its uses.
