We are delighted to say that The Russell School has been judged to be a ‘Good’ school within the previous, hard-hitting Ofsted framework.
This outcome follows an extremely rigorous inspection of all aspects of school life including lesson observations, a detailed examination of school data and documentation, meetings with children and conversations with Governors, staff and parents.
We are particularly pleased with the result for many reasons, including:
-
It is widely accepted that the changes put in place by Ofsted ensure that current inspections are particularly challenging and are becoming tougher every year
-
It recognises the expertise of staff and the excellence of the teaching and learning opportunities that we strive to provide for our learners
-
It confirms that our school is fully inclusive and welcoming, a place where all children are well supported in their learning and in their well being
-
It recognises that our children are happy and enjoy school because their learning is interesting and varied and because they feel well supported by staff
-
It confirms that the whole school community - staff, Governors, children and parents - are extremely proud of their school
We very much look forward to building on this strong and extremely positive result with all stakeholders as we continue to unlock the potential of The Russell School in the years ahead for the benefit of our community. Please follow the link to access our full Ofsted Report.
