At The Russell School, we believe that school uniform is vital in helping children to develop a greater sense of belonging to our school community. It also encourages them to be proud of their school and to take pride in their appearance.

This is our school uniform.

• ​The Russell School green sweatshirt or green cardigan with or without the school logo
• smart grey skirt, grey pinafore dress, trousers or shorts
• white or green polo shirt with or without the school logo
• green and white gingham check dress (summer only)
• white or grey socks or grey tights
• black flat heeled school shoes – no ballet type shoes without straps
• black or white sandals – to be worn with socks (summer only)
• black boots (winter only)

This is our PE uniform.

• The Russell School green HOUSE TEAM hooded jumper
• ​t-shirt in House colour with school logo
• The Russell School plain black PE shorts
• plain black tracksuit for outdoor PE (winter only)
• drawstring PE bag

All children with shoulder length hair are asked to tie it back. Shaved designs as part of a hairstyle are not allowed. Nail varnish and tattoos must also not be worn to school. Small studs are allowed but necklaces, bracelets, charity bands, friendship bracelets, rings and small hooped earrings should also be left at home. It is essential that all items of clothing or other personal belongings are clearly marked with your child’s name.

The uniform for nursery children is a slightly adapted version of the school uniform worn by the rest of the school.

• plain white polo shirt
• white or grey socks or grey tights
• black trainers/ soft black school shoes with Velcro fastening (no laces)

Uniform can also be viewed in school – please speak to a member of office staff if you require any advice. Book bags are not available on the uniform website.
